Apsan Observatory is a work of architecture that harmoniously brings together the city with nature and combines the past and future of Daegu. As an attraction that offers visitors a panoramic view of the city, Apsan Observatory is heavily frequented by tourists, but is also an excellent place for Daegu residents to learn more about their home city. There are two ways to reach the observatory: taking the cable car from Keungol (15 minutes) and going on foot from Anjiranggol via the hiking trail (one hour).

Gangjeongbo (The ARC)

Nakdonggang (river) is the lifeline of Daegu and flows through the surrounding Dalgubeol. Gangjeong Goryeong weir is regarded as being the center of the river in Gangjeong, which has developed into a new attraction along with the in-development representative water cultural center for the four rivers. Gangjeong Goryeong weir (length 953.5 m) prides itself on being the largest weir on the Nakdonggang River.

There are various activities in The Arc. You can rent bicycle, electric cart during day and night.

Seomun Market is one of the three major markets in Korea and is the largest market in Gyeongsang Province. It is a traditional market famous for various food items along with textiles such as silk and linen. In June 2016, with the opening of “Seomun Night Market,” the largest night market in the nation, it became a must-see tourist destination for people looking for the tradition and taste of Korea.
As of 2017, about 5,522 stores and 30,000 merchants are in the market. The market has become so huge that it has nearly everything from textiles, such as linen, fabric, and clothes, to food produce such as fruits and vegetables. The quality of the textile and fabric-related products is also exquisite to the point that people come from all across the nation to buy them.
Seomun Market is not just the largest traditional market that supports the livelihood of the people of Gyeongsang Province, it is also a tourist hotspot where visitors can get a glimpse of the “life of the Korean people” that they cannot get anywhere else these days. The Dongseong-ro Downtown, Kim Kwang-Seok Memorial Art Street, and Modern History Alley are all situated nearby and these are all great places for visitors looking for cultural experiences.

Since last year, Night market has been operated with about 56 sellers. There are traditional food, International food and other product(hand-made items) in the night market. It operates from 18:00-24:00.

The most distinctive feature of the new store is the 5,000-square-meter Alive Aquarium on the ninth floor. Unlike other aquariums, mostly located on lower floors, this aquarium is on the top floor of the building, as the store can withstand the weight of the 2,000-ton aquarium and 6.5-magnitude earthquakes.

The Daegu store accommodates a cosmetics select shop Chicor, which offers more than 180 brands of cosmetics from Korea and around the world to meet the demand of female customers who want to test various brands in one place, similar to French cosmetics store chain Sephora.

On the fifth floor, VIP customers can shop for luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Ferragamo and Bottega Veneta.

In the department Store, A big aquarium, Zooraji park, various reataurants. This place is perfect for people who want to shop and entertainment. It also linked to the Dongdaegu Bus Terminal and Dongdaegu railway station.

Daegu Safety Theme Park operates a variety of experience facilities such as Subway safety, Living safety, CPR training, Indoor fire hydrant, Descending life line, etc with course-specific programs in order to improve the capability to cope with emergency situation that may occur in everyday life and conform to safety precautions on various disaster accidents.
Through the coping skills that you will experience in this place, all staff will endeavor in unity to protect you from various disasters and make Daegu Safety Theme Park a craddle of safety experience.

Visitors should reserve to use experience facilities and it is free of charge.
It takes about 1 hour ~ 2hours to have experience in mountain fire, torrential rain, mountain climbing, flood, earthquake, fire extinguisher, first aid.
